A few weeks back the ICC had said that they plan to revamp and rejuvenate the ICC Champions trophy to save the dying popularity of 50 over cricket and they have lived up to their promise. The prize money for the Champions trophy has increased nearly four times, with US$4 million on offer for the tournament to be played from September 22 to October 5 in South Africa, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Monday.
