West Indies finally won a game as Bangladesh suffered their only defeat on their tour to the West Indies. West Indies managed to seal a consolation win in the only Twenty20 International on Sunday.

Bangladesh chased down a target of 249 despite being 133 for 5 at one point to complete a whitewash of the Caribbean’s in the one day series as well winning it 3-0. The tigers had already won the test series 2-0.

Bangladesh creates history again; clinches the ODI series

Another Man of the Match performance by skipper Shakib Al Hasan took Bangladesh to victory in the second ODI against West Indies. The victory meant that Bangladesh took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series and got their first ODI series win against the hosts. But more importantly, the win came by way of their highest successful run chase in the limited overs format, reaching the target of 275 with an over to spare.

Amidst all the controversies surrounding West Indies cricket at the moment, the second test match between West Indies and Bangladesh started with the hosts looking to draw the series by winning this match and Bangladesh going in keeping in mind that they just need a draw to win their first ever test series. But when the teams took to the field it looked the other way around with Bangladesh being the more aggressive team of the two.

Mortaza injured, Shakib to lead Bangladesh in the second test

Shakib Al Hasan has been named captain of Bangladesh for the second test match against the West Indies after Mashrafe Mortaza was ruled out with a knee injury.
