Mumbai, July 4 2009:  The Cricket Board seems to be having second thoughts over cancelling this year’s Deodhar Trophy inter-zonal limited overs tournament after sources in the Tour Programme and Fixtures Committee had indicated it’s not going to be held this year.

“Schedules of the Prof D B Deodhar Trophy and the Twenty20 Super League for the Mushtaq Ali Trophy (are) to be finalized in the Working Committee Meeting,” BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said today in a media release while releasing the full seniors domestic schedule for the 2009-10 season.

Deodhar Trophy has been held every year since its inception in 1973-74, first as a 60-over per side tournament and then as a 50-over one since 1980-81.

“The juniors programme would be released later,” Srinivasan said.
