Edinburgh: David Hussey helped Australia shake off their Ashes agony as he smashed his first ODI century and helped Australia demolish Scotland by 189 runs in their one-off ODI.
Australia, being put in to bat, plundered the Scottish bowlers all around the park to a mammoth 345 all out. Scotland, in reply, could just manage 156 all out in 39.3 overs. Their Skipper Gavin Hamilton was the highest scorer with 38.
Even though it was a one-sided match, but Australia still had a lot to take away from it ahead of the 7-match ODI series against England. Shane Watson continued his good form and looked extremely confident during his innings of 68, coming off just 43-balls and including 9 fours and 2 sixes.
Adam Vogues, who has been called in for the ODI series, also proved the selectors right with a fluent innings of 72 off just 64 balls. But the biggest plus-point for Australia was David Hussey.

On the bowling front, defending a total of 345, Shane Watson again shone for Australia but this time with the ball. He ended with figures of 3 for 30 off 7 overs.
