Dubai: India remained No. 2 in the ICC ODI Rankings despite their four-wicket loss to Sri Lanka in the final of the tri-series in Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, have climbed one spot to be sixth in the ICC ODI Championship.
Although India maintained their second position, they are now two rating points down since the start of the series, leaving a gap of nine points between them and table leader Australia.
Sri Lanka has overtaken Pakistan by a fraction of a point but Pakistan have the opportunity to climb back up the table with its upcoming ODI series against Australia that begins on January 22.
In what may come as a relief for the Aussies, even if Australia were to lose all of its upcoming matches against Pakistan, it would still top the table ahead of India, although, by a slim margin of two ratings points, according to an ICC release here.
India next plays an ODI on February 21 when the home series against South Africa starts.
