New Delhi: Ravindra Jadeja’s appeal against the ban imposed on him for negotiating a deal with another franchise without renewing his existing deal with Rajasthan Royals has been rejected by the Indian Premier League.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, BCCI President Shashank Manohar heard Jadeja’s appeal on Sunday, put forward by IPL vice-president and Saurashtra Cricket Association chief Niranjan Shah.
However, the BCCI remained unmoved and upheld the decision to ban the Indian all-rounder.
Jadeja will not be able to play in the third edition of IPL which begins on March 12, a big blow to the 2008 champions Rajasthan Royals.
