Melbourne, July 15 2009: Australian pace great Glenn McGrath has passed on some inside knowledge about the conditions at Lord’s to the inexperienced bowling attack of Ricky Ponting’s team ahead of the second Ashes Test against England starting tomorrow.

McGrath, who have had a phenomenal success at Lord’s during his playing days, capturing 26 wickets at a strike rate of 11.50 in his three visits, shared some tips with first-timers Peter Siddle, Mitchell Johnson and Ben Hilfenhaus about how to become successful at the ‘mecca of cricket’.

“He’s had a bit of success here. He was pretty confident with the bowling attack. He gave us a few little ideas. The main focus was the slope and how to get used to that,” Siddle was quoted as saying by the Australian Associated Press.

Get used to running in either you’re getting pulled downhill or you’re running the other way.
