Two Gurgaon bookies held during T-20 final

Gurgaon, June 22 2009: Gurgaon Police arrested two bookies allegedly engaged in betting during yesterday’s T-20 World Cup final between Sri-Lanka and Pakistan.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Anil Kumar Dhawan said cases were registered against Balkishan alias Balu of Arjun Nagar and Amit alias Raju of Modal town.

Following inputs, two police teams were sent to arrest the bookies and they also seized a TV, two mobile phones, a recording machine and cassette.

Raju was caught red-handed while engaged in betting through his mobile phone.
