Mumbai, July 6 2009: Rookie pacer Ankit Pathare, a 21-year-old Mumbai college student, would undergo a training stint under former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram in Delhi from July 15-29.

Pathare, son of a doctor, was one of the eight winners of the Gatorade Pacers Hunt held earlier this year and would be trained at the Gatorade Centre for Pace Excellence in the capital, a media release said.

Talking about Pathare, left-arm pace great Akram said that the youngster held a lot of potential.

“Ankit Pathare is a great promise for Indian future fast bowling,” Akram was quoted as saying by the release.
