New Delhi: India’s bowling coach, Eric Simons, has been appointed assistant coach of the Delhi Daredevils ahead of the third edition of Indian Premier League, beginning March 12.
“Simons’ experience will help the youngsters in the side,” said Amrit Mathur, chief operating officer of the Delhi Daredevils.
Simons, a former South Africa coach, said he is looking forward to working with the Daredevils. “I have heard a lot about the Daredevils and I have also seen some of them at close quarters while working with the Indian team. It will be a great experience to work with them,” said Simons.
Simons, 47, was appointed bowling consultant of the Indian team for the Test series against Bangladesh and the Test and ODI series against South Africa.
