Pakistan finally exacted some revenge from the Aussies, beating them for the first time in 13 matches across all formats of the game, as the green brigade, led by an inspirational Shahid Afridi, won the first of the two Twenty20 internationals by 23 runs at Edgbaston and although this win may not bring them back the World Cup, it would come as a relief to some Pakistani supporters who have seen their team being repeatedly humiliated by the Aussies in the last six months.
